Items are the deliverables that are required by the buyer from supplier’s end. A buyer needs items, products, or services for which they ask for quotation or mention their required prices, and the supplier provides their rates, which upon negotiation, finalized, and those goods are delivered.

Items or products are grouped together and are categorized based on their nature. We can also categorize suppliers according to the items they are offering. The item and categories options given in e-procurement software has many features you can add-on, take a look:
